Who other than the Bears? Eagles?Bears QB records mean nothing. There are only 2 teams in the NFL who have never had a 4,000 yard passer.
Who other than the Bears?
Yep. That'll change soon.Eagles
He is on pace for around 35 td's too/ So yea, I think he will achieve those numbers in a season eventually. This would be awesome. He does have a couple games coming up (NYJ and BUF) to pad his stats a little bit. So nice to see how quickly he's progressing after a rocky start.
Real question is... will he ever be able to put up 4.5K and 40TD?
So, anyone want to tell me how often 4K+ yard passing offenses have actually won the SB in the past decade or so? I seem to remember that pretty much every offense putting up gaudy passing yards got smacked in the playoffs.
For what it is worth, Brees, Brady and Manning all did it.
Oops, I think Manning didn´t. I need to check
Each also has multiple season where they got smacked out of the playoffs as well.
In fact Brees has 12 seasons passing 4K+ and only one SB title.
Manning has 14 seasons passing 4K+ and only won two SBs off the back of his defenses. To his credit he even jokes about it.
Brady has 9 seasons passing 4K+. Three of those seasons the Pats won the SB.
The best we can hope for is a play off birth and production from Mitch.
I think Cutler's highest yard total with the Bears was 2014 where most of his passes were dump offs to Forte.Five yard screen passes where Cohen runs another 10 yards start to add up.
