Rookie phenom Kris Bryant can officially add MLB All-Star Game to his resume. The Chicago Cubs third baseman has been named to the NL All-Star team as a reserve. The announcement came just an hour before the Cubs are set to host the St. Louis Cardinals in a big four-game series at Wrigley Field. The 23-year-old Bryant is hitting .279 with 12 home runs and 49 RBI's in his rookie season with the Cubs.Bryant is part of the young Cubs core that should rack up All-Star appearances over the new few years or so. It likely won't be the only one for Bryant either.Joining Bryant will be first baseman Anthony Rizzo who is making his second All-Star Game. Rizzo won the final vote last season. The 25-year-old first baseman is having a fantastic year for the Cubs hitting .292 with 15 home runs and 45 RBI's being a key part of the Cubs success this season.Teammate Jason Motte had a good time with the announcement of Rizzo and Bryant on Twitter:https://twitter.com/JMotte30/status/618197417041752064The 2015 MLB All-Star Game will take place at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati on Tuesday, July 14th at 6:00 p.m. CST.
