White Sox have gotten the following production from the DH slot this season.

.244/.310/.419/.729 15 HR 17 2B 2 3B

Personally I would think the player specifically designated to hit would produce better than that.

alot of fans think we are going to the playoffs, we may not even make the playoffs with the production at dh let alone compete in the postseason. we need a bat via the waiver wire now!

Oz & Greg Walker think Kotsay has been 'unlucky'.

I do think the White Sox can make the playoffs with that production at DH, but they can't compete with those other three teams.

The Yankees and Rangers lineups are out of this world (really I shouldn't put the Rangers in the same sentence as the Yankees). The Rays lineup is great as well.

Plus the pitching those three teams have is great as well. Can the White Sox offense beat CC or Cliff Lee one out of two times? I don't think so.

Kotsay has gotten bad BABIP luck (.231), but come on we all have seen him play. He shouldn't be a DH for a team.

dont get me wrong, i like him as a utility player to come off the bench. that is the perfect role for him, or give a day off to paulie. but everyday at dh is rough and is starting to wear on me. thats ozzies fault though. kenny sees what we see hence him going after dunn, he has to try to fill this problem off waivers.
