So are they positioning Gleybor for 3B or SS?

I'd guess Torres plays SS until Gregorious gets back. LeMahieu isn't much of an offensive player, but they didn't need one and he's a hell of a defender. Could still open up Andujar for trade at the deadline if they want. Or maybe they don't decide to keep Gregorious after this year. As popular as he is there it wuld be surprising but Yankees fans would get over it.

Would you really be happy about paying premier FA dollars for a 3B who has hit .263 with 1/3rd fewer HRs away from Coors Field in his career? For the White Sox' sake, I hope they don't sign Arenado.

I wouldn't do that if I were him. I'd take the $240 mil or whatever is out there at this point but insist on an opt out after year 2. That puts him in the Trout FA year and he could ride those coattails from whoever misses out.

Russell, who will lose about 540K of his 3.4M base because of DV suspension to start season, recoups all of that if he reaches 4 bonuses of 100K for 30, 60, 90, 120 days on active roster and final 200K bonus for 150 days.

I believe it does include the time he's suspended as I believe he still incurs service time but don't quote me on that. But I mean to get that full $600k that's basically the entire season.

No the league "year" isn't a full 365. Each Major League regular season will consist of 187 days. I believe it's whatever day the season starts on and goes through Oct w/e it finishes on. Basically, from my understanding as long as he is rostered(even suspended) he will incur those days and get a bonus at every set threshold.

He does play well in Coors, no doubt, he's also been very solid on the road the last few years. Given he'll be not playing 19-20 games in parks like LA and SD, and play in a pretty hitters friendly park of the AL, yep. I would want him. He has a year to say otherwise. But today, he's the best 3b in the game.
