Well I like Magic so I'm glad he seems to be doing things the right way. Better than Ricketts IMO.

He is spending like a wild man and overpaying for prospects.

Ricketts is a far more efficient owner thus far, paying appropriate sums and rebuilding for long-term success. Johnson gave fucking Yasiel Puig 42 Mill, and BA said he would have ranked #11 on their International Prospects list, nobody ahead of him on that made more than $1.

Definitely committed to winning, but I'm not sure it is the "right way" when he is being totally inefficient with his money. But hey, if you have a shitload of money and want to spend it, then by all means go for it.

I wish someone, anyone has an idea of how deep those pockets are.

Damn I was hoping that albatross Crawford contract would really hamper Boston (well, as much as it could)...

Ben Cherington deserves a lot of credit for making this happen. They got lucky that the Dodgers are so nuts.

This trade gives the Red Sox some nice salary relief. I personally feel like Beckett wore out his welcome in Boston a year ago. So a fresh start for him was in order. Carl Crawford has been injury prone ever since he got to Boston. Now the Dodgers will be waiting a while for him.
