..even after restructuring his contract to a 3 year 18 million dollar deal, he probably wouldn't have fit in cap wise. Idk how much cap room we have left exactly, but I know it isn't much.
As for the Falcons, I don't think it makes them much better. Samuel is on the downside of his career. He'll get some picks, but he gives up a lot of big plays and isn't the best tackler.
I would have love the trade... but the Bears just don't have cap space and I still think the re-struxture deal was too much. He's in a decline, but still a good trade for the Falcons. They need secondary help.
