Soccer is a great sport. It's not perfect and could be improved, i.e. dives, etc. The snobbishness of soccer fans is nowhere near as bad as the ignorance and criticism of many who claim to dislike it. It's a dumb argument anyway. Any sport can become addictive if you watch it enough.
On a side note, I don't know if this has been pointed out before, or if it is one of those hanging errors to lure someone into correcting, but because JoJo has stated a dislike for soccer, and because he lives in a beautiful place I have to point out something in regards to his sig; Mike Ditka is not Papa Bear.

Yes, Ditka is not Papa Bear. It was Papa Bear who made the soccer quote first, not Ditka.
By the way, I don't hate soccer. I actually like World Cup soccer. I can't stand soccer the other 3 years, 11 months and a half.
Edit - Damn! I stand corrected. I had found that quote credited to Papa Bear a long time ago and made it my sig. Now I cannot find it credited to him, but to Mike Ditka so I will have to remove my sig. Sorry, for the misinformation.

they get punished for it in soccer too actually. If the ref sees that you are simulating, he can give you a yellow card. Has this stopped players from doing it, not that much. Just as these fines haven't really stopped basketball players from flopping.

And like in basketball, it's less than 1% of the game. Some people choose to ignore the vast majority of it that's filled with skill and entertainment (if you're into it) and just focus of the flopping, as if it happens constantly.
