Ignore the nerds.

Go park a few blocks from Reggies(for free). Walk to reggies. Pregame(They usually have buffet's too), take the FREE shuttle where you can finish your pregame beers on while listening to metal.

This is obviously if you aren't trying to tailgate.

Lets me get absolutely smashed during the game as well since I have a sober ride back to reggies where I can sober back up ;)

I always pregame at Reggies. Let me know when you're going and I'll buy you a whiskey sour or a tequila shot with extra salt.

Reggie's doesn't have the appeal for me anymore now that the record store moved.

Are you so poor that everything has to be free, or..?

Thanks everyone for your replies. Is Uber an actual option? I feel like it would take forever to get a ride after the game

Here is what I have done the last few times that I have driven in on game day. I drive to Homewood (which has easy access to I-80) and park in the Metra electric lot. If I remember correctly parking is $2. Get a weekend unlimited ride Metra pass for $10, and take the Metra electric to 18th street station. Soldier field is a very short walk from the 18th street station. Easy peasy.
Anyone driving to the game from out of town (S/SW) of Chicago should do this. i was thinking the same thing as you. Don't forget the very scenic views :) :)

Gonna avoid the fact that you're just being a fucking troll.

Yes, having a free ride to the game is convenient.

Being in an awesome bar with a cool atmosphere is also more convenient.

Go fuck yourself.

It is honestly one of the best options to get to the game, unless you are tailgating.

I agree completely except for being angry about it.

Why are you derailing ANOTHER thread about the Bears? I understand you won't see this for a few hours until you wake up to cook breakfast. But, please respond then. Thanks.

It's such a nice walk from Roosevelt! I just love the walk to the stadium, it's this sidewalk march, two-and-three fans wide, of excited people and you can't help but feel the crowd energy already.

Honestly, OP, I'd still recommend parking away and taking public transit so your boys can get that part of the experience.

Being surrounded by that many dweeby “Super Fans” sounds like complete hell.

Then don't do it. You'd probably ruin the vibe we have going anyway.

I wanted to thank you, this is what I ended up doing for the game yesterday, super easy getting in and out. The only hiccup was that you need exact change for the parking ($2.25) which you put into a slot in a mailbox. All I had was a twenty but there was a super nice lady I asked if she had change and she gave me the $2.25. Thank you so much for this suggestion, this is what I will be doing in the future for all games.
