They might just dress someone that normally would be inactive on gameday would be my guess...

I hope Cheta makes the 53 shows some good speed coming off the edge, needs improvement agianst the run. Never can have enough pass-rushers.

He only has 53. You get to keep another player on the roster when there is a suspension so they can have 54 players week 1.. I would hope Podlesh can play week 2 so they can just cut Quigley and have that roster as is.

Id really like for us to find a way to keep McCoy. He's raw, but has good size, speed & the ability is there. I like Frey more, & I feel he'll make it, but I'd keep McCoy over Wilhite. I kinda am tired of having a team loaded with undersized corner in a division loaded with big WR's. I'm not saying McCoys the next great CB, but he has the tools, he needs good coaching & he could be pretty good, imo.

Well Josh McCown had a good game. Was hoping he had a bad game, so they can cut him and re-sign the Blanchard. Really don't like 2 old vets as back-ups wanted someone to develop. oh well

Then it's because CHETA making the roster they wouldn't keep Wootton. The team will need another DE other than just McCellin, Pep, and Izzy. That's what you didn't make clear at all by your first post.

DL isn't cut and dry about how many guys make it on the D-line.. Others were talking about having just 3 guys week 1 if Price is cut and not replaced by another DT.
No biggie, I do like Chedder Oz better then Wooten big time. My point was that we have many guys who can play both DT and DE already, which is why I don't view it as positional. I just want the best guys.

"Let me tell ya something, this guy, Dane Sanzenbacher...He's got the hands, the shiftiness, and he was coached up at THE Ohio State, let me tell ya. I see another Wes Welker in this guy. I mean, come on! This guy is the total package in the slot, and if the Bears don't keep him, he's going to find a roster and stick, i tell ya! He's gonna stick to that roster, and make the Bears regret the day they let him walk. This Guy. This Dane Sanzenbacher!"

Nice to see you here BM1. I agree, I like Blanchard, but you've got to give McCown some props, he did play pretty well!

Isnt always better to be lucky than good? I bet Chris Summers and Rashied Davis were wishing they were a lil more lucky like Dane
