I find it funny we live in an age were people accuse the younger generation of being triggered too easy, but we have a bunch of old timers starting thread after thread bitching about how people display their fanship and to what degree. Like there's a proper way to be a fan.

I find it funny we live in an age where people switch their favorite teams, have 2 favorite teams, wear jerseys for players that are not on their favorite team, only watch their favorite team when things are going good and root for players playing against their favorite team because of their fantasy league.

I think there is a way to be a proper fan to some degree. You think that there is no way to be a proper fan. Whatever.

The haters would have hated on the 85 Bears. Bearmick knocking McMahon after he threw a wounded duck complaining that the Bears didn't draft Marino in 83. After the Miami game you would have the "we are are going to lose out and be one and done in the playoffs. etc...

Actually...that was me.

I remember being called a "Cutler Hater" in the more recent past, but I thought of myself as more of a critic.

But I hated McMahon.

Dude was a drunken slob with no sense of work ethic for the game. Say what you will about Jay Cutler, but he did not show up at practice with a sixer of tall boys like a frat boy instead of a professional football player like the Bears drafted him to be.

He had some talent, but living like a college kid in the NFL was going to doom him to a mountain of injuries even if Charles Martin never played in the League.

**** Jim McMahon.

I didn't start this silly stuff, so knock it off remyzone.

Don't recall saying you did. I was just making a joke. You really are acting like a grumpy old man. Lighten up Francis!

P.S. I don't initiate the vortex using memes. The vortex can only be engaged by a detailed post consisting of at least 3 paragraphs and 2 run-on sentences.

Okay, let's go have a beer and forget about the whole thing. I will have a Bud or Stella. I assume you want a craft beer?

Do you have a CCS hit list TBD? You've been like Michael Myers on Halloween tonight.

Nah...I just like messin with Tribar. But after reading it again this morning it was over the top

Sorry Tribar

Bud or Stella seems like an odd two choices. Like deciding what to have for dinner and saying I'll have ramen noodles or lobster.

Bud is what I started drinking when I was 16 and never stopped. When there is no Bud at a bar or party, I have obviously had other beers, and of those, Stella I found to be something I really liked. So I now kind of switch back and forth. I find a lot of people to be stuffy about these things nowadays, particular the craft beer people. They think they are better, because they may like it better. Very snobby.

Look, people, this is a sport. Sports are supposed to be fun. Kids succumb to CTE just for the love of the game. This is the first season since 2012 that we have reason to hope and heal together, and I see people wanting to make it sound like a tragedy. How about everyone just sack up and enjoy the ride? No room on this bandwagon for you debbie haters who doubted the beloved during the first half of the season.

Cast doubt aside, brothers! Doubt is the tool of the devil holding you back from FAITH!

Thank God for threads like these to call out the non-believers. Round 'em up I say! Call them out by name and quote them! Keep track of their thanks and forgive only when they own up to their misdeeds.

This bandwagon is only for those of the same mind!

4 reasons to love whats going on with this team:

1 The complaints about Trubisky are warranted. But most agree, give this dude time. Nagy is a fucking godsend for him and this team. Offense looks like it could explode at any minute.
2 Defense is number one in multiple categories for the first time in seems like forever. Meatballs rejoice
3 And again, Nagy. He'll have a few growing pains of his own, but we were complaining about Lovie's coaching when he took the team to the superbowl. Nagy is just as good of a HC if not better.
4 The team is healthy. HEALTHY! I'm loving this season. Usually by now I quit caring and find something else to do on Sundays.

Only 2 Reasons to hate this season:

1 Trubisky is young, but that's not an excuse to be inconsistent and don't have the patience to wait for it to show
2 Hang your hat on expectations of previous 1st round draft picks (Floyd/White/Long), and bring it up in multiple conversations

Also, Nagy is still relatively new. It is not uncommon for an offensive mind to be figured out and exposed as a one-trick pony by NFL defensive coordinators.

In no way do I *expect* that from Nagy and I do feel less certain about Trubisky settling in as a franchise/ near elite QB and a bit more believing that Nagy will be a perennial producer of offense.

Stella is great. Behind only Grolsch and Carlsberg for me when it comes to lagers.

Taco had a very weird childhood. Once he asked his mother: Where do babies come from?"

Taco's mother thinks for a while before deciding she ought to be honest with him. She says, "Well Taco, Mommy and Daddy fall in love and get married. One night they go into their bedroom, they kiss and hug, and then they have sex."

Taco looked confused so the mother says, "That means that Daddy puts his penis in Mommy's vagina. That's how you get a baby."

Taco thinks for a moment and then he says, "Oh, I see. But the other night when I came into your room you had Daddy's penis in your mouth. What do you get when you do that?"

Taco's mother replies, "Jewelry, my dear. Jewelry."

Not sure how an anecdote about how you "earned" some jewelry pertains to this thread
