Fencik hung out at the Playboy Mansion and was banging playmates and winning games. He stays on the list.

So did Cade McNown...

I'm giving no points for longevity and judging by ability in their prime regardless of how short while a Bear. In no particular order.

Hampton, Urlacher, Dent, Covert, Sayers, Butkus, Payton, Mack, Harris, Briggs.

McMahon and Frazier had a shot at the list as did Jackson after last year. That would have had some up in arms. How Covert goes missing from these is beyond me. As good as any to ever play the spot in one of the 3 most important positions in the game.

It passed through my mind, but I decided my list would be the ten players I enjoyed watching play the most.

Offensive linemen, no matter how good, are boring as ****.

Ya I know. When you never gave up a sack and against the likes of LT, it's boring as fuck. Exactly what you want from LT.

Yes he did, but he sucked, Fencik was a great player that banged playmates, he stays on my list. McNown stays on a very different list.

Tillman- not the most talented player on my list but definitely my recent era favorite player

Lach- Best player on some very good teams

Forte- three head coaches too early

Briggs- was just a baller

Harris- longevity pushes him down a bit but he was the motor to those ‘05-‘06 defenses

Brown- again longevity but he was so much fun to watch

Mack- he’s just a beast

Hester- eclectic until he was moved to WR

Marshall- hated his sideshow but I loved watching him play

Jackson- so much talent. Hope he can get and stay healthy because he has HOF talent imo

Oh I know McNown sucks, but he also banged playmates.
My argument was for Eddie Jackson to make your fake list and you asked who would get the boot eventually. So I axed Fencik.
I guess I will make my own fake list now and quit living vicariously through your fake list.

Your fake list will pale in comparison to my fake list.

Here is my list of the best fake lists:

1. Mine

That is all.

10) Butkus
9) Allen Page
8) Payton
7) Dent
6) Singletary
5) James "Big Cat" Williams
4) Urlacher
3) Brown
2) Tillman
1) Forte

Sort of chronological by decade and more a list of favorites than of "top" players. I very nearly had Keith Traylor+Ted Washington at number 4 and either Tillman or Forte might not have made it.

I was alive during Sayers' career but sadly I have no recollection of seeing him play, I think because '70 & '71 were injury years. I remember being pretty lit up as a little kid to see Butkus out there wreaking havoc, though.

Many will say Page and Williams don't belong on the list but it's my damn list and you can make your own. Page was undersized but a playmaker who was fun to watch on Sundays and went on to be an Illinois Supreme Court judge - how cool is that? Williams was a UDFA DT from a no-name school who somehow went on to be the starting RT and played solidly for about ten years, ably replacing the great and more well known Keith Van Horne.

There are no current Bears on this list because the decade isn't over yet. Mack and Jackson haven't been around long enough yet anyway. Ask me again in 2021.
