Certainly, but it isn't as bad as some want to paint the situation. The Cubs position player wise have a nice pipeline already. It isn't great with the real impact guys 3 years or more away, but it isn't out of the realm of possibilities to get 2 or more league average starters from the farm in the next couple of seasons. They need more talent, and it will be interesting to see how they make it happen.
Those are the only blue chip guys they have, but the system does have a decent pipeline of position prospect beyond that. Pitching on the other hand....
I always get it mixed up for some reason, but yeah those are the ones I could name without cheating. And obviously guys like Johnson and McPhereson are organizational filler at this point.
