LAST GAME
The Blackhawks fell to the Flyers 3-1 on Thursday night at Wells Fargo Center. Connor Murphy tallied his first goal of the season, marking his 50th career NHL point. Corey Crawford made 28 saves in the loss, marking the 11th time he has done so in his 13 starts this year.
VS. HURRICANES
Chicago holds a 9-13-1-1 mark all-time against Carolina, including a 3-8-0-1 record on the road. The Blackhawks split the season series 1-1-0 last season against the Hurricanes. Jonathan Toews paced Chicago with three points (1G, 2A) in two games against Carolina a season ago and leads the Blackhawks with 10 career points (5G, 5A) in 13 career matchups against the Hurricanes. Anton Forsberg has an 0-2-0 career record against Carolina.
FIRE AWAY
Chicago has either outshot or tied its opponents in shots on goal in each of the last six games. Brandon Saad leads the team with 23 SOG during that stretch and tallied a season-best 8 SOG on Thursday.
RUNS ON DUNCAN
Duncan Keith leads the Blackhawks with 53:27 of shorthanded ice time and nine blocked shots on the penalty kill. Last season, Keith logged 195:16 of shorthanded TOI. The Chicago penalty kill ranks sixth in the NHL (85.2 percent). The Blackhawks have not allowed a power-play goal in the last four games going into Saturday night's game.
ONE-TIMERS
Ryan Hartman played in his 100th career NHL game on Thursday night. He has tallied 42 points (23G, 19A) in his career ... Brent Seabrook skated in his 939th career contest to move into fifth all-time in franchise history ... Lance Bouma picked up his third assist of the season. He now has four points this year (1G, 3A) ... Jan Rutta notched an assist for his sixth point this season (2G, 4A).

THREE OPPONENTS TO WATCH
RW Justin Williams: Williams leads the Hurricanes in points (2G, 9A) in his 17th NHL season. In his last five games, the 36-year-old has tallied six points (1G, 5A). He has reached the 50-point mark in five of his 17 seasons, most recently during the 2015-16 season as a member of the Washington Capitals (22G, 30A).
LW Jeff Skinner: The Toronto native paces Carolina with seven goals this season. Skinner led the Hurricanes and matched a career high in points last year (37G, 26A). Coming into Saturday night's tilt with Chicago, Skinner has tallied five shots on goal in four of his last six games.
G Scott Darling: The former Blackhawk faces Chicago for the first time since being traded to Carolina. In his three seasons with the Blackhawks, Darling totaled a .922 save percentage and won one Stanley Cup. His 2.35 goals-against average this season ranks sixth among goaltenders with at least 10 appearances.

This team just happens to not be very good anymore. They had a long run at it, and all things come to an end. Probably still good enough to sneak into the playoffs if they stay healthy. They need to start thinking about getting bad and shedding contracts ASAP.

Big win. Debrincat was the best player for either team. Need to build off of this one.

what a depressing game until the end. Something about Carolinas uniforms and buckets that make them all look really big. Nordstrom looked ike he was 6'7 out there. Nice to see our guys, PK, Nordstrom, Kruger, TVR and it took the new guys to get past Darling. That looked bleak, especially when they gave up the extra goal when they got to 2-1.
