Interesting stat... The difference that I can see is Cohen's attempts per game are up compared to Howards per game which is down. Through week 13 Cohen has had more attempts at rushing than all of 2017. However, you're correct in that the Bears averaged 23.25 carries per game last year and are averaging 22.38 per game this year, RUNNING BACK only carries, not WR carries or QB carries. Also, Howards Yards per carry is down .6 yards per carry and Tarik's is up .3 yards per carry.

The RB average per game 2017: 95.62 yards per game v. 2018 average of 86.25 yards per game. Probably where most of the observable discrepancies come from.
This is all very well put, and I'll definitely cede that the RBs are getting less of the load.

One thing I know for sure is that the playoff rushing attack this year will be better than last year.

I really didn’t want him because trying to say his name would be too difficult. Who wants to deal with that bullshit.

So should the Bears hire him as an offensive assistant, and “pump him for information”?

Funny you should mention because on 670 the score some one mentioned that the bears should look at Mike McCarthy as an assistant to bring inside information.
I think nagy is happy with his assistants.

McCarthy is getting a HC job next year he’s not taking an assistant job

And the Bears have a top D this year...Vikings D in 2018 is mediocre while in 2017 it was the best in the NFL. Perhaps if the Vikings D was playing like it did in 2017, then Cousins' problems wouldn't be as magnified.

Remy's list has the Vikings D in the top 5 this year....how dare you contradict.....

Cousins is not an elite QB that can play in any scheme. He needs a running game and he can thrive in the play action....

That has been non-existent this year....they haven't run the ball so the play action has been useless. The Vikings were correct in firing the OC...now they need someone to do the right thing.

Solid point...
Those lack of sustained drives will drive D stats down as they are on the field a lot more than last year...

They won't be able to do that this year. That OL starts Compton.

Look at their FA list just for next year. Their talent level will drop off the next 3 years because of the money guaranteed to Cousins.

He must not look at the most important defensive stat, points allowed. You'll hear a lot about the 'bend but don't break" style D. That's coach speak for "if it doesn't end up with points on the board for the opponent, who gives a fuck." 2017 Vikes gave up close to 7 points less per game than they currently do. That is a significant difference.

Biggest question...who would want to go to MN to be an OC.

This is the equivalent of the Bears hiring Tice as OC.

Except Stefanski doesn’t really want to be there, he wanted to go to the Giants with Shurmur.
