Almost like all of the rules changes in the past couple of years benefit offenses more than defenses

So your saying in today’s nfl when you can barely touch the qb without getting a penalty and where defender can’t touch wide receivers- scoring and offense matter ?!

No it didnt but the offense has to improve to more than just average (which it was actually below average).
Trubs has to see more of the field and improve his accuracy & consistency
The OL actually has to run block
The offense needs a much faster North South RB than Howard ever will be
Nagy actually has to call a much more complete game more often

I'm not saying they wouldn't be in either game. They very well could be but that wouldn't stop people from saying he is overrated or worse than the backup. That's just how it works with fans and the media. A lot of people will tell you that Khalil Mack isn't that great either. You're considered a "homer" if you speak positively about your favorite teams players.

Probably true if we had Kelce and Hill or a different kicker as well. Can't have the top guy everywhere. There was 1, maybe 2 guys on this entire forum who wanted Mahomes as their top QB that year. He was my #2 because he was a tough read in that O. Trust me, if anyone knew he'd be this, there would have been 20+ teams trying to trade up to the #1 spot in that draft. Anyone blaming Pace for not drafting him is just being a dick.

Complete and utter horseshit. Bears fans celebrate mediocrity at QB as if it was Pro Bowl level play. Fuck, do you know how many people are celebrating the fact Trubisky was just a few stats short of the greatest regular season for a Bears QB (Kramer) ... "and only his second year and first with Nagy!!!"

If Mitch did what Mahomes did, Bears fans would already be starting multiple threads here about where Mitch would be in relation to Montana, Manning, Marino, Favre and Brady ...

Deservedly so but just because Mahomes is the man on a team with awesome pieces, it doesn't mean Mitch won't be a great QB for us. Still too early to know. Like I said, what team wouldn't want Mahomes right now?
