Would you let the Vikings into the playoffs? Rams were destroying the 49ers so we had no shot at the 2nd seed. Would you let the Vikings in to avoid the Eagles?

No, you always play to win the game. Even if he puts in his 2nd and 3rd team earlier, we still probably win.

What would you expect to him to actually do, not play defense and on offense give the ball to the Vikings?

No. WInners win.

If they made the sameness mistakes against the Vikings they would have lost.

They made more mistkes in the playoff game then the previous 2-3 games combined.

No, this team wasnt ready for the Superbowl this year anyway. They are building a culture of winning with this team and laying down for a divisional rival would do nothing to further than.

Then add in the added bonus of a 12 win season ... that makes it asinine for critics (here and in the media) to tear down Trubisky, Nagy or Pace too much , which I enjoy immensely as a moderate homer. 12 wins. Let that wash over you a moment when you think about doinked FGs. 12 feels good after years of terrible.

I don't think so. Cousins is pretty mediocre. I thonk Philly had a better defense as well

Nope I wouldn’t change anything with week 17

If I was to go back in hindsight I’m not “resting” trubisky against the giants. I’m also not calling a better game against the eagles. For instance I’m not wasting drives featuring mizzel

Yes losing intentionally is such a great example to set for a young team trying to build its aggressive identity.

What people are forgetting is that the Bears also had the chance to end up playing the Seahawks too.

No one thought the Seahawks Cardinals game in week 17 was gonna be close, but it went down to the wire.

The Bears couldn't just lay down against the Vikings win because if the Seahawks lost and the Bears lost there was a good chance they would end up playing each other, which was probably the matchup the Bears were most trying to avoid the most.

Bears weren't trying to avoid playing anyone. Nor should they have been. If you want to have that loser mentality....the Lions have room on their bandwagon...
