So currently, for 2018, the Bears have $8,182,036 in cap space left. I am under the impression a team can roll that money into the following year, correct? So if that's the case, then they can roll that money into 2019, which is currently $19,698,005, for a total of $27,880,041 cap space, assuming the cap does hit $190M. So if I am correct so far, then cutting Sims and Parkey will free up $2,500,000 ($6M vs $3.5M guaranteed)? So the Bears cap number might be $30,380,041? Please correct me.
Obviously there would be other moves I would make, such as cutting Acho and restructuring Long.
Also, in what year does Mack's contract become "affordable"? Or less of a burden.
