Personally I LOVE it whenever Teddy KFC posts his armchair GM moves. Absolutely incredible.

We would be lucky to get a 4th for him IMO as I think he probably nets a 5th rounder. Bigger question IMO is which teams run a scheme where he fits as a RB? Could he work for example in SF where they have had a lot of banged up RBs and could use a durable guy like Howard. I presume with Shanny as the coach that Howard would work as he fits in Papa Shanny's cutback system.

That shit belongs in the madden forum

Not even. Teddy only comes up with trade ideas that would benefit the bears. He doesn't even watch other teams unless they are playing the bears.

Rob Ryan

I figure a trade package of Howard, Acho, Sims & Parkey would be enough to get this done.

If you can't get a 3rd for him(highly unlikely), why not just let him hit FA and get a comp pick for him?

This is the ideal move. Get the best pick possible and stop selling him short.

Because he hinders the offense.

Why have a player on the roster who isn’t a scheme fit?

He doesn't hinder the offense though. It's just something you say he does.

He has value to us. I'm not trading him for anything less than a 3rd rounder and that ain't happening.

6th in total attempts. 14th in yardage. 37th in ypc.

That’s why we want to trade him.

He simply isn’t a good runningback in this offense, and it isn’t that we didn’t use him properly. He got his carries, he just was ineffective

y'all? You been hanging out with remy?

I said better to keep him.

Sorry for lumping you in there. My post was referring to the people who would trade him for a 4th/5th rounder. It's like people on CCS sit around in the off season and try to think of ways to make our team worse.

Is Howard the best back for Nagy's offense? No, but he is reliable, good and cheap. Unless they have a vet they are going to sign (Hunt) I would not trade Howard. Relying on Cohen/Mizzel/and a draft pick going into next season makes me want to barf.

Like eyedoctor said, just keep him and get a comp pick for him next season.

Very few teams have a pressing need for an RB. I'd say Oakland, Houston, Miami, NYJ, Phily and Tampa off the top of my head. How many of those teams run outside zone? I'm not sure. But I do know that most of them are going to address their problem via the draft because that's what happens with RBs. Bottom line there isn't going to be much of a market for a one dimensional RB who would cost a draft pick and a new contract.

The 150 pound runningback averaged nearly a yard more per carry.

Howard can’t run routes, so he has no value out of the backfield as a pass catcher.

He clearly forecasts a lot of our offensive snaps, so yes, he hinders it.

Having an all purpose back is what this offense lacks.

Do all purpose backs just grow on trees or what?

True I’d rather have an ineffective run game just because we all appreciate what Howard did two years ago.

Let nostalgia go, he hurts this offense. Being 37th in ypc is not good
