Going to a party this year, homeboy is making a giant smoked brisket.

I'm bringing queso and chips, used sodium citrate and pale ale (per @number51 recommendation) to get shredded jack/sharp cheddar silky smooth like processed nacho cheese.

Half of it was blended with roasted hatch green Chile peppers, a little sauteed onion and garlic.

The other half was blended with fried up chorizo and ground beef.

Both turned out pretty amazing.

Thanks.

That sounds really good! Bet the fried chorizo made the kitchen smell good for quite awhile.

Vicariously living through everyone else's food spreads. I'm just throwing in some jalapeno poppers with a tray of costco shrimp. And of course a few brewskis.

Not sure how I feel about his use of coffee in his recipe

Coffee is good in stuff. Get used to it.

I am doing robs and cols slaw and already getting tipsy with the vodka!

Cheese pizza & Pepperoni pizza

Homemade using only the phreshest ingredients. Which basically means 1/4 cup of cannabis-infused olive oil because the only way to make pizza better is to make it intoxicating. Enjoy the Big Game and see you on the dark side of the moon, Bear Nation!

I got a tray from Costco’s too along with Prime ribeyes.

What kind of apps/foods are you making for the big game???

Heard this on the radio yesterday and might try it:

  • Get loaves of frozen garlic bread
  • Split down the middle and line with provolone cheese
  • Bake until bread is done and cheeze is melted
  • Fill with seasoned ground beef
  • Top with shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Bake until cheese is melted
  • Top with giardinera
  • Slice into 1/4ths and eat like a grinder sandwich
Why would anyone top a sandwich with giardia?

I must say, this recipe went off with amazing success. I am now the master chef of this corner of my hood. Hope they do another segment like that on 670 soon lol.

I'm certain that you, as a dignified, refined man with culinary integrity to spare, surely drained the grease (at least most of it) off that chorizo. That sounds delicious, very well played.

I made a phone call to The Original Nana's Hot Dogs in Streamwood, and had some great food delivered. I went with the combo extra dipped, hot peppers on the side, with a chocolate shake that I enhanced with some bulleit rye. There were 5 of us and the bill came to > $100, so there was a lot of food.

Made some barbecue skinless boneless chicken thighs, and roasted veggies. As an appetizer made potato skins with honey ham, artichoke hearts, pineapple, onion, pasta sauce, mozzarella, basil... Cut some avocado and had some pasta sauce on the plate to dip, with a little sour cream. The only improvement I would make on the appetizer next time is to used a thick cut peppered bacon, like from Nueskes in Northern WI... Anyways everyone loved it.
