With another off-season of a big ? at kicker, I think the Bears should at least kick the tires. I don't believe Gould will be affordable/ available.

Can we afford to have that much money tied up in the K position? Parkey is going to count against the cap if he gets cut already and Bryant will get paid like a top K.

Hard to justify having that much money tied up in a kicker - even despite what happened. It's easy to get caught up.

Even if you bring in Robbie Gould to be our kicker we still need a kicking coach, on staff, on the sidelines in charge of the kicking unit.

Our problem could simply rear it's ugly head again, because when a kicker gets into a slump (and it will happen no matter who our kicker is), the kicker has no one on the coaching staff to go to.

The good kickers will seek outside help, but those professional coaches are not allowed on the field during a game unless they are on the staff.

OUR PROBLEM IS MORE THAN KICKING TALENT!!! WE NEED A KICKING COACH....PERIOD.

Pace said it's a position they need to address and that it's of the utmost importance to get it addressed. He said money won't get in the way above performance.

When Parkey is your kicker, damn near anybody else is worth a look. If you don't replace him might as well just consider everything as 4 down territory.
