I would love to see him back on the field, but seriously doubt he will ever play another down. Hope the Bears give him a job helping the coaching staff or working somewhere within the org.

No, I think he's done.

For anyone who's fuzzy on why this is being posted:

It is very disturbing though.

If he was younger, I think he would play this year or next.

I am 50/50 on if he could ever even attempt to play again.

If he does I bet his limitations cause his performance to drop to where he is cut and just bows out.

Then likely becomes a coach.

What do you guys think about Braunecker? He looked good on a couple of plays anyway.

Lol...look at his transactions from profootball reference:

November 7, 2017: Chicago Bears activated TE Ben Braunecker from the practice squad.

September 5, 2017: Chicago Bears added TE Ben Braunecker to the practice squad.

September 4, 2017: Chicago Bears cut TE Ben Braunecker.

September 3, 2017: Chicago Bears waived TE Ben Braunecker.

October 1, 2016: Chicago Bears activated TE Ben Braunecker from the practice squad.

September 4, 2016: Chicago Bears cut TE Ben Braunecker.

September 3, 2016: Chicago Bears waived TE Ben Braunecker.

May 6, 2016: Chicago Bears signed TE Ben Braunecker.

I don't think a lot of people realize how serious his injury was. I highly doubt he plays again.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nfl/bears/2017/11/20/bears-zach-miller-home-after-surgery-gruesome-leg-injury/883428001/

Three weeks after he was injured trying while to catch at touchdown pass and left to wonder whether doctors would be able to save his leg - much less whether he would play another snap in the NFL - Bears tight end Zach Miller is home.

He tweeted Monday night:

"Freedom!!!! Guess who's home!?!? #DayByDay"

Miller underwent surgery to repair a torn popliteal artery in his left leg, the result of a gruesome injury suffered against the New Orleans Saints on Oct. 29. The injury prompted reports that Miller not only might never play football again, but that part of his leg might require amputation.

Me either, I didn't see it happen or any replays or read anything about how serious it was or his recovery and how the Bears signed him to a contract so he could rehab here.

I wrote my post as a blind wild guess having no information whatsoever on Zach Miller's injury.

I see you are also fully uninformed about Zach Miller's injury.

halftime will be sure to educate you on what happened as it is doubtful you know anything about the injury or his recover/rehab over the last 16 months.

I guess it's just flashbacks from when Brian Urlacher dislocated his wrist, and several fans on another board I was posting on said he was a pussy and just needed to wrap it up and play.

He too, almost had to have a amputation for that injury.

It's like when Bobby Wade got his back amputated and they said we would never find another punt returner
