7 total for bellamy, 10 total for patterson.

If people are seriously evaluating moves based on 1.5 million per year, I'd say they're just looking for something negative.

Just sounds like he will be taking touches away from Cohen/Miller/Howard/Robinson

Nah. Patterson had 63 offensive touches. Throw in targets and he had 70 times they tried to get him the ball.

The combination of Cunningham, Mizzell, Bellamy, and Kevin White combined for 68 times the Bears tried to get them touches.

Isn't Amos the only qualifying FA lost so far? Not sure if BeLLLamy makes enough to count.

We need him to catch a kickoff and run with it.

He won't be game planning or working the draft.

I guess pace isnt allowed to draft a return specialist.

Patterson stinks like a move that’s too clever by half. He’s not bad. But is he worth the $10 mil? Seems like the kind of guy who doesn’t contribute much at all, then you let go a year or two down the line and say, “Yeah, we fucked that one up. Oh well.”

Wow the fuck you nerds really arguing about Patterson?

He's brought here to do the shit they did with gabriel that didn't work all year long and was a big part of the offense early on.

Reverses, screens, sweeps, etc.

BREAKING: The #Browns have traded for #Giants WR Odell Beckham, sources say. The deal is done. I am not joking.

You’re right. Let’s see more Mizzell returns 7 yds deep in endzone downed at the 13
Mizzell had 7 kick returns for 106 yrds in 2018. 0 punt returns. What are you talking about?

Are you aware they've changed some of the kick return rules in these last few years?

This is a classic case of bears fans explaining off every move as a "good move"... Mizzell barely touched the ball, but okay.

I've heard absolutely nothing on Callahan so far. Weird.

Not a big market on him, it seems.

Doesn’t mean someone else won’t sign him for more than the Bears think he’s worth, but to me, at this point, no news is good news on Callahan.

For several years, bears fans were treated to a special kick returner who showed just how valuable a top return man can be.

A short time later, Bears fans complain about getting a legit return man, and underestimate the value one brings to a team.

Solid on D. Added all kinds of offensive weapons last year and signed a RB yesterday. Today we address ST with the best kick returner available and one of the better ones in the NFL, and knuckleheads bitch?

Bears were dead last in kickoff returns last year so it is/was a need.

Absolutely. Last year our defense was the best, offense was average at best, and special teams was the worst. Hopefully this is only the beginning of improving special teams, it will certainly help the offense a great deal. Losing Bellamy hurts here.
