All about the 2019 season can go in here.

Baseball regular season starts March 20th at 5:35 A.M. ET in the Tokyo Dome.

Athletics vs. Mariners for a 3 game set.

I find this dumb to do and then come back to spring training for 4 games then the season starts all over.

Cubs first game is March 28th @ the Rangers.

Mike Trout is making around 67 k an at bat.

What a time to be alive!

Joe pretty much stapled 2-4 Bryant, Rizzo and Baez.

Zo will lead off vs right and bat 5 vs left. Leaving Almora leading off vs left.

Rest will be moving parts

Watching Yankees and Orioles...

I don't recognize anyone in Orioles starting lineup except Dwight Smith Jr. and Cashner is their Ace...

Looks like a long losing season for them

Dodgers have hit like 20 home runs today. Flying out that park. Im exaggerating the number, but has to be 5 or so.

  • The Cubs announced that lefty Brian Duensing has cleared waivers and been sent outright to Triple-A Iowa. He has enough service time to reject the assignment and still retain the entirety of this year’s $3.5MM salary, but there’s no indication yet whether he’ll choose to do so. The 36-year-old Duensing had a strong year with the 2017 Cubs but was clobbered for a 7.65 ERA in 37 2/3 innings last season after signing a two-year, $7MM contract to remain in Chicago. His second season with the Cubs saw him walk more batters (29) than he struck out (24), and his struggles continued into Spring Training, where he yielded eight runs in seven innings of work.

LOS ANGELES -- The offseason acquisition that might have had the greatest impact on Opening Day was Robert Van Scoyoc leaving the D-backs to become the hitting coach of the Dodgers, who turned Game 1 of the 2019 season into a record-shattering Homerpalooza.
The Dodgers went deep eight times, an MLB record for Opening Day, in a 12-5 crushing of the D-backs at Dodger Stadium. Joc Pederson and Enrique Hernández slugged a pair of homers each. Corey Seager, Max Muncy, Cody Bellinger and Austin Barnes also homered.
“Only downhill from here for Robert,” joked manager Dave Roberts. “He’s got to feel good about this one. Credit to him and [assistant coaches] Brant Brown and Aaron Bates and the players who buy into what they’re talking about.”
The eight homers also matched a franchise record for a single game, set in 2002 when Roberts was on the club. He said it was a Sunday and he had the day off with an opposing left-hander (Glendon Rusch) pitching.
“It’s pretty crazy,” said Pederson, who hit .180 in Spring Training. “Whenever it’s working together like that, it’s an exciting day out there. We all have high expectations.”
The MLB home run record for a single game is 10, by the 1987 Blue Jays. The National League record is nine, by the 1999 Reds.

Dodgers’ Opening Day HR record
1 -- Joc Pederson, 2nd inning, 420 feet
2 -- Enrique Hernandez, 4th inning, 404 feet
3 -- Austin Barnes, 4th inning, 403 feet
4 -- Corey Seager, 4th inning, 407 feet
5 -- Joc Pederson, 6th inning, 417 feet
6 -- Max Muncy, 7th inning, 399 feet
7 -- Cody Bellinger, 7th inning, 403 feet
8 -- Enrique Hernandez, 7th inning, 400 feet

Braves just locked up Albies for 7yr at 35m with 2 options. If picked up turn out to 9yr 45m. Not a bad contract

So should have the Cubs stuck with Vogelbach and selected a pitcher instead of Schwarber? It is kinda early but .400/.513/1.133 6 HR's in 30 AB.

More of a muse but I still didn't get why Theo and Jed completely ignored the guy.

He plays 1B, so I'm gonna guess they preferred Rizzo at 1B over Vogelbach when they made that trade..

It taken him 4 yrs since that trade to have a good first couple weeks of season..
So, I think they made the right move
