Nice, if he can be healthy and ready on Opening Day it would be a huge break for the Sox and make the Division title an even greater possibility.
Like the video shows if you watched, he has to get rid of the recoil on his delivery.
Its good to see he is throwing off of a mound.
He said his arm feels about 60-70%.. so with a little over 1.5 months until opening day. I say he's ready by late April to early May. That's my prediction.
the test is going to be if he can hold up.
if stays with the same recoil, he probably gets hurt again, like mitch williams said, if he follows through instead of snapping back he probably will be fine and be the same peavy.
This is how I see it.. if pitchers have arm injuries and can't pitch long in games, switch to pen. They may not like it but it's better for the player and the team. Look at Wood. Harden is probably going to be a RP now. The list goes on.
Ace to pen? This isn't the Cubs. It will take longer than a portion of a season for that to happen IMO.
To keep him healthier and around longer.. that's prolly the right move but that won't happen and I know that.
A Cy Young award winner is overrated?
3 years, 7 injuries, and a 16-12 record since? yes.
