We offer vendors the opportunity here to have their own section on the forum. Besides being a place where you can announce your latest sales & products, this would also be the place where your (potential) customers can go with technical and/or support questions regarding your products. This way those posts will not get lost in the more generic areas of the board where they could easily be overlooked. We will sell vendor spots to companies, blogs, message boards, etc.

If this is a personal blog or web page or something... instead of like a forum or social network, etc. I would recommend this:

1) Do not register the domain with GoDaddy, they are overpriced and can cancel your domain at any time. Instead look for a cheaper one. I found one offer .com domains for like 3 bucks a year, but I can't remember where. They are cheaper, better options out there for sure though.
2) Use a free web host, since it is a personal site. I've had good experiences with Free Hosting, Paid Hosting, Reseller Services & VPS Servers : Byet Internet , and even run a couple reseller hosts through them. http://ismywebsite.com/ is definitely the best free host, but I don't think they are accepting new sites right now (upgrades on software), and it is invite-only now.
3) Use a CMS to organize your site. If it is a blog, use WordPress, but if it is a normal site, use either Drupal, Joomla, or WordPress and get a nice skin. I prefer Drupal over WordPress, and WordPress over Joomla.
4) Use Google AdSense, so you can get some revenue from the traffic.

Well considering I'm getting premium hosting for like $25, I'll go with that and know that I don't have to worry about anything. Plus, I'm not even buying the domain, so I'll let my guy, who is the CEO/President of one of the best websites on the internet, I'll let him do his thing.

Godaddy is fine.

My 10+ domains are there, if you use promo codes I have never paid over 7.49 for a domain in my life.

Also free hosting = fail hosting.

In most cases, there is one free host that is better than most premium hosts, IsMyWebsite. It's invite only now though.
