As long as people go to cubs game to drink beer and have fun, Chicago will always be a cubs town.

One team has real fans + a lot of lazy drunks who don't really care about the cubs

The Cubs... they have more real fans too... thanks to always being on WGN America before and having a high amount of international broadcasts, they have a higher. international following.

Everywhere except the South Side and DuPage County (where I'm from), it is about the Cubs.

I like the Sox too though.

Though I'm a Cubs fan, I don't know why Sox fans care so much about this debate...the only one that matters right now is which team is better...which is an argument that currently belongs to the Sox.

The whole "Cubs fans are all drunks and don't pay attention to the game" theory is flawed.

Camera guys put the hottest girls, and the funniest drunks on camera. They don't put regular Cubs fans on camera. That would be boring.

Which explains the plethora of fans that come out on Tuesday noon games?

Do any of these people work, or does half of chicago call off work for every weekday home game?

I'll stick with my hypothesis that 50% of cubs fans are unemployed drunks who go to games for the social factor.

You can't tell who a real fan is... so there is no stats...
but every ballpark has "fans" and real fans, the Cubs not having reals fans is a stereotype.

Wrigley and the Cell probably have the same % of real fans and other "fans".

But the Cubs have more of both keeping the same % because the Cubs are more popular overall... it isn't an opinion.
