  1. Chicago Bulls
  1. Chicago Bears

  1. Notre Dame Fighting Irish
Ooooh Pick me

In all seriousness, no player(s) is worth an entire team.
See James, Wade, Bosh, Stoudemire, Anthony.

I have no doubt the Bulls wanted Melo...but at that point, I thought Melo would be the best player on the team...I no longer feel that way.

I was pretty much at Lefty and Firsttimer's throats on this subject for months in the offseason. One of the points they were making was that Anthony would have been the hands-down best player on the Bulls. And that the rebounding and defense that Noah brought could be easily made up for part-way by a "big oaf" of a player. And another thing they were saying was that Deng was a somewhat average player in the league and that his contract needed to be voided at all costs.

I never really believed any of those things. I was a little bit open-minded about that trade but there were some people that were WAY too adament in the "make the move at all costs" column.

What was there 1 person who would have traded them for Melo? I wouldn't give up Noah alone for Melo.

I would have, kinda. Noah, Deng and a pick(s) would have been involved for Melo BUT the Nuggets would have to added more to go along with Melo'. But that wasn't going to happen, then I was against any such trade.

I was in the boat of keeping Noah the entire time. Although his struggles have been more so due to the system he went to, more than proof that he has been a bad addition to the Knicks.
I think after the Knicks revamp and adjust everything this offseason, they will be significantly better. Even if they bring back the same team, I can see how building the old-Denver players on the D-less'Antoni's system will pay off.

Never wanted Melo to be honest. I wanted Wade in the off-season so we could have the illest duo in the league since Mike & Scottie. After that went south and I saw what the Bulls could do on the court and not on paper I just left it alone.

Deng has really played well this year, but I still think that a Rose/Boozer/Anthony trio would be really freaking awesome. I never wanted to give Noah up though, so I guess my wishes were always far fetched.

Honestly, at the time, I would've drafted Beasley over Rose. I figured the Bulls only took Rose because he was a local kid.

Thank God I wasn't the one making the pick. That would've been very, very bad!
