Your dog is sitting there just waiting for you to drop that plate.

Had a cookout earlier and cooked some red bell peppers and asparagus, pork chops, chicken breasts, a salmon filet and a steak. Grabbed a pic of the steak because it was sooooo good. Prime strip with plenty of salt and pepper cooked to med. So good.

Best steak I've had in a while.

I've probably posted this before but this shit is delicious:

Quartered whole chicken
1/2 cup lemon juice
1/2 cup melted butter
3 cloves minced garlic
2 large white onions, minced
1 tsp crushed black pepper
1 tsp celery salt
1 tsp rosemary
2 tsp marjoram
2 tsp thyme

Put all that happy horseshit in a giant ziplock bag overnight (or at least for 5 hours). Toss it on da grill (high heat). Use a BBQ mop to drench dat shit in the marinade every couple minutes. Win.

Nice.

In the same vein last night I took some beer and put most of the same herbs/spices in it and let some nice fatty pork chops sit in a bag with it overnight, smoked in a weber today for a couple hours with pecan wood. Decent.

I love doing all kinds of bbq, and rarely do marinades but shit like these recipes are highly underrated. Another good chicken one is Cornell chicken. I've made my adjustments to the recipe/marinade time/cooking time to my own taste but it's definitely solid.

I have a Char-Griller Komado Acorn grill going on 3 years now. The other day I was prepping the grill and dropped the cooking grate and it just shattered into about a 1000 pieces. So I called them. Apparently it's a fairly common issue because the replacement part is out of stock, will be 6-8 weeks to get a replacement. I really like this grill, but this really blows. No BBQ for me for a while

I grilled onions, and made a mustard sauce to apply as I was cooking them.
There's a great meat market in Elburn that I would recommend.

I live in a condo. Local ordinance here in Midlothian forbids condo and apartment dwellers with patios/balconies from using charcoal grills. You can also smoke on a gas grill. Just make a smoker pouch.

Banned at SATC and WSI for having the ability to construct a coherent thought and haven't been to the 'Hosed/SoxHaps in years lol

What beer did you use for the boil BHP?

I used New Belgium Accumulation White IPA. 2 bottles to boil 5 bratwurst.
I did about a 15 minute boil.

Mustard sauce was a coffee cup half filled with equal parts yellow and brown mustard, with a heaping of brown sugar and a half shot of bourbon. Mix thoroughly, then apply to the brats to create a glaze.

Indirect grilling an Italian sausage tonight. Not using any other special sauces, glazes or smoking techniques. These sausages from the meat department at Berkot's are so good they don't need anything else. Will post pics in a bit.
