You can thank all the no-life hackers who are trying to ruin Sony and, consequently, our ability to game on our system. Sure, Sony should have done a better job. But, it's not like they're not trying to fix the problem.

I'd rather wait an extra week than have them bring it back to early and have security and/or stability issues.

Lost a customer for life with this shit, not PS3 but their online MMOs. I just cancelled my scripts for good.

Sold my PS3 today after it got the YLOD. Bye Sony. When their customer service becomes reliable and trustworthy maybe I'll give them another chance.

The premise of that article is wrong. Sony did not say that they were unaware of the full extent of the attack on the network. They said "We were unaware of the extent of the attack on Sony Online Entertainment servers" which is separate from the PSN. Also, the article is full of assumptions and nothing more, there are no facts in it at all. As for the may 31st statement, Sony has said all along that the full services wouldn't be up for a month or so which would put it at the end of May. I would prefer the network be up but I'm willing to wait if it means getting it done right. Finally, why would someone hack the network because they were mad the network was hacked?

I think it was $600 for the launch 60 gig.

I paid $500 for my 80 gig, and it came with 15 free blu rays (10 off the shelf because walmart was having a deal, and 5 were mail-in), which was worth about $300 (at $20 a disc). I now have about 110 Blu Rays, but also have a standalone player.

I didn't have a problem with getting mine fixed with that.

I did.

$600 for the console, $40 to play 2 players, and $60 for a game!

$700 if you wanted a 60gb PS3 on release day, AND you actually wanted to play with it. LOL
