    Default Tony Campana

It was a tough loss for the Cubs tonight. However, despite the bad I feel it's good to take a positive from the outcome. Tony Campana impressed me quite a bit. His first career AB and he gets an RBI double and showed great hustle. The Cubs have some good young talent.

With Castro, Castillo, Barney, Colvin and Campana, I like the Cubs chances in the future.

Obviously that's not the whole lineup, but I like those guys better than most of what's on the field currently for them.

Oh yeah, me too. I just hope we make good decisions in FA/Trades...and quit giving players ALL the leverage in contract negotiations.

I'm sure plenty of teams would kill to have guys like Castro or Barney for the long run.

Is it Ramirez who has the option for next year? I thought I read that somewhere. That's a deal, like you said, that needs to be avoided in the future.

    It's a club option.

    Those are completely fine.

The thing is if the Cubs don't give these things to the players someone else will. People keep saying don't give into the players, well if you don't sometimes you don't have even a decent team.

1 game and Campana is good. He is looking to be very average.

Which is what you expect out of a bench player.
