You heard it hear first. Cubs will make a 2nd half push and take a wild card spot. If they don't, oh well suck it.:crazydance:

I'm a cubs fan. I will be loyal until the day I die. Even if we're out of first by 23 games, I'll believe we can come back. Fight the power!:woot:

Mark my words, the cubs are DONE, FINISHED, DEAD. It's over, and if I'm wrong (which I won't be) go ahead and throw it in my face.

If only Nady could get some more starts in the outfield. His arm is the difference between 12 games out of 1st and World Series.

I can see the Cubs doing that but not with Pinella at the manager. He should move over for Tramell and then we will see a better lineup and better moves.

Lineup and moves don't matter when nobody on the team can hit. Lou is a bit stubborn IMO, especially when it comes to guys he likes, but there is no need to fire him.

There is also no need to hope the Cubs will be taking the wild card spot. The season is over, this team might be epically bad actually.

With yesterday's performance (it was against Oswalt, so it is still a hard-to-win game), I wouldn't be overly surprised if they surged now and got above .500 and then made some deadline acquisitions, except I don't know what starters you could get, as the position players seem hard yto move now, unless you are replacing Baker.

Oswalt had a 2.78 era going intp that game and he always owns the Cubs so mayb it will change.
