MLB officials have had internal discussions about 15 team leagues with no divisions, but the idea hasn't been discussed in collective bargaining with the MLBPA, according to Yahoo's Jeff Passan (Twitter links). MLB is reluctant to push for such drastic change, but Passan hears that an NL team “will” move to the AL to even the leagues out at 15 clubs apiece.

Was not expecting that.

I think they'll keep divisions, but the even leagues makes sense. I'm in favor of full-year interleague as long as it's more balanced.

NL team records are going to get much lower with more inter-league.

NL team records are going to get much lower with more inter-league.

This will then force NL teams to build their rosters better to compete more evenly. I think this will be a good thing in the long run.

Ya, but a lot of .500 teams will be serious contenders for a few years.

Yup...but the other sports also have their inequities. Would be interesting to see how they set up the schedules.

As much as I HATE this the NL probably needs to go to DH. If its going to be year round then you have to have them be the same.

I wish they would just get rid of the DH but that will never happen.

I agree with you. They've done a lot to destroy the differences between leagues. So they might as well go all the way and just balance schedule with every team playing each other in a season.
