So you think DT's are a bigger need than a WR right now?

Honestly, who do you trust as our go to WR right now? Because I don't really trust any of them to be honest.

I can't trust Paea to start in this shortened off season. And I really don't want Matt Toeaina starting. I'd rather have Bennett and Knox starting at WR than Paea and Toeaina at DT.

I trust Bennett. 1 drop in 70 targets. Not against getting a WR, but when the Bears have 4 DT's, 1 of which is a bum and another that is a rookie in a shortened offseason, I can't trust Paea.

I just don't trust our WR's. We've been through this the past 2-3 years with this core.

Valid point, but like I said, I don't see the Bears passing on a WR in free agency.

I agree, but everyone is expecting a big name #1 receiver and its not going to happen

Vincent Jackson, Sidney Rice, Santonio Holmes, Braylon Edwards, and Santana Moss.

I'm not against getting players, I'm against paying guys like Sims-Walker for 5-6 year contracts.

This, agree w/ most things you said. I'd give him a 3-4 or year deal. I don't want him around unless he proves something, then we can restructure if he proves to be the #1 we've been looking for, if worst comes to worst. Though I don't see how finding our #1 would be a bad thing lol

I don't see how paying Sims-Walker is going to make the Bears that much better at WR. The only players I want are Jackson, Holmes, Rice, Edwards and Moss on the cheap.

See, I just think that Braylon and Santonio are overrated. Toooo many drops, the both of em.

Santana is just ok now. Good, yea, but more just meh at this point of his career. And they he would want moneys that wouldnt suit the Bears.

V-jack and Sid are the only 2 by far better, and they might have to pay through the nose to get em. I wouldnt mind either and paying em. But IF, those two demand dumb money, and we get Mike for noticeably cheaper....Ill be very very pleased.

I agree but he had a very nice 2009, and if he comes reasonably why, not because supposedly santana is gonna come reasonably, and then we could have a legit receiving corps if that is how it were to play out.

I'm just looking at the big picture.

I just don't see Sims-Walker as a #1 option worth overpaying for.

I think your missing what I'm saying...no where did I say that we should pay him, I said if he comes reasonably bring him in and IF he develops into a potential #1 we could always tear up the old contract and give a new one, or restucture it. I never said to overpay him that would be dumb.

yeah, that rep has followed him forever....his rookie year was rough, but honestly his hands are probably B- level. That's not bad for someone who possesses the other skills he has. I'd be stoked if we got him.

Now, if we can get him AND Sims-Walker...along w/ an OT...and Jonathon Joseph....

lulz...

That is definitely a fappable (word?) thought lol. But Martz continually states he doesn't like bigger targets, so giving him 2 probably isn't the best idea.

I'd be perfectly happy w/ the Bears FO bringing in Santana (I feel a very real possibility) and MSW along w/ O-line help and JJ would be wonderful.

So in my eyes my scenario is also a :fap: thought lol (at least IMO)

W/ their being 3-4 really good Corners on the market this year (Asomugha, Cromartie, Joseph, I. Taylor, Rodgers...list goes on) I'll be almost upset if we don't get one of them. I don't think Asomugha fits our personnel, per se, but anybody would probably be an upgrade over whomever we'll trot out alongside Tillman.
