The Chicago Bears offense is having trouble coming together, CSN Chicago reports, and one of the problems is that 29-year-old wide receiver Roy Williams, who joined the Bears after three seasons with the Dallas Cowboys, is not in shape.
The site notes that Williams is fully aware of this, reporting that when asked what the biggest thing is for him to work on, he said, "My conditioning. Getting my wind right. You have to be able to run in this offense. Run all day long."
Williams claims that he'll be ready by the time the season kicks off. "I'm a firm believer in no matter what you do in the offseason, nothing will get you football ready except for playing football," Williams said, the site reports. "That's what I believe. It's tough. You can run all the hills and mountains that you want to, but when you get out here and play for four seconds and jog back to the huddle, that's what gets you in shape."
Williams had 37 carries lasat year for the Cowboys, gaining 530 yards and five touchdowns.
