Need to finish 4 points better than NYRB the rest of the way, or score a shitload of goals and finish 3 points better than them to make the playoffs.

That, of course, is taking Portland out of consideration (which I shouldn't). And D.C. United, but we play them one more time, so it is in our own hands now

Here's the breakdown updated and including last night's result courtesy of Prison Mike from the S8 forums:

As the season winds down, remember that the first tiebreaker is points head-to-head, not goal differential. With that in mind, here's our season series to date.

Won
Chivas USA (Draw at HDC, Won at Toyota Park)
Colorado (Draw at DSG, Won at Toyota Park)
New England (Draw at Foxboro, Won at Toyota Park)
Sporting KC (Draw at LSP, Won at Toyota Park)
Toronto FC (Draw at BMO, Won at Toyota Park)
Real Salt Lake (Draw at Toyota Park, won at Rio Tinto)

Winning
Columbus (Won at Crew Stadium)

Tied
DC United (Draw at Toyota Park)
FC Dallas (Draw at Pizza Hut Park)
Houston (Draw at Toyota Park)

Losing
New York (Draw at RBA, Draw at Toyota Park)*
*= The second tiebreaker is goal differential, and at present time, New York is +5 and we are now at 0.

Lost
Los Angeles (Lost at HDC, Lost at Toyota Park)
Philadelphia (Lost at PPL, Draw at Toyota Park)
Portland (Lost at Jeld-Wen, Lost at Toyota Park)
San Jose (Lost at Buck Shaw, Draw at Toyota Park)
Seattle (Lost at Qwest, Draw at Toyota Park)
Vancouver (Lost at Empire, Draw at Toyota Park)

Thanks for the info giaco.

So, we basically need to beat out NYRB and PRT in standings, and beat D.C. when we play them. (I'm not overly concerned with Chivas or San Jose).

Filthaelfia taking points out of DC's hand helped us a bit.

:yep:

It was a really good game.

Both teams had a lot of missed opportunities in addition to all those goals.
