Right now the Republic government has more power in the area than the Autonomous Province's government. That's a fact. But the UN says that it is still legally part of Serbia because declarations of independence can not be unilateral if they are to be accepted by the UN.
Now, I'm sorry I responded to ws901, and I suggest we talk about soccer instead of politics (even though they do tend to go hand in hand).
and it will stay that way, russia and china have veto power in the UN, they will never vote for kosovo independence (due to political and social problems in their own countries)
i've had family fight and die for kosovo, just like millions of others have...the fact that albania has any claim in trying to prove kosovo as autonomous from serbia is rooted in hundreds of years of oppression against serbs in the region....hundreds of years of forced migration out of their holy land where the serbian orthodox church was established.
taking kosovo from the serbs would be like taking jerusalem from the christians and giving it to the muslims (which is exactly whats happening in kosovo)
like I said, i've had family fight and die for kosovo as well as it being the home for my religion, so i'm sorry if I snapped at you
it was uncalled for :smh:
