    Agreed.

I'd hope we could trade up for Blackmon. Kid looks like he could be the #1 WR we need.

no one is denying that, but I just don't see a trade up to go get him, and he probably like a top 3-5 pick.

Absolutely zero chance Blackmon is available to the Bears

Oh i already know. I dont mind talking about guys falling but thinking the best WR prospect falls past teams like the Jags, Rams and Browns is crazy. Then you got teams like SD who could part ways with Jackson but i do think we finish below SD. Miami and Washington could?

But Floyd has always been my guy so i'd love having him.

no need all cleared and Im done with it. O well back to draft discussion. What would you guys think about LaMichael James as a selection in the 3rd with 1 of the 2 picks the Bears have.

I like him but i wouldnt use a draft pick on a RB. Upgrade the OL and then Barber/Bell should look even better as backups to Forte.

Yah I agree, but at the same time, wouldn't it be appealing/kind of needed (no where near glaring) to have an explosive weapon coming out of the backfield, since everything back there is 1 cut or straight up just hit the hole and get 3-5 yards a carry?

Needed? IDK. He's not real explosive but i think Bell is a nice compliment. Forte still is and should be a featured back. If we were going to run more of a balanced two back system, i would. This is all assuming they go in the right direction and get a #1 WR and have an efficient passing offense. Next year i would definitely look into a legit backup RB but you can find that guy in the middle rounds and if youve got a good offense with a good OL, you can plug and play. I want this team go vertical, really verticle. Where you can feature Forte and then just use a Barber or Bell a handful of snaps.

I agree with going vertical, but why would you wanna go REALLY vertical and take out one of the Bears best assets coming out of the backfield in Forte', I'm Curious

I am starting to think that the Bears need to address the LT position in the draft as there seems to be more talent in the WR free agent class and the draft is deeper at WR.

    Free Agent WR

    1. Vincent Jackson, Franchised or Resigned
    2. Dwayne Bowe, Franchised or Resigned
    3. Mike Wallace, Restricted and Will get a 1st and 3rd tender.
    4. Marques Colston, Injuries
    5. Stevie Johnson, Franchised or Resigned
    6. DeSean Jackson, Size and Attitude Problems
    7. Reggie Wayne, Age and Injuries
    8. Pierre Garcon, solid #2 WR.
    9. Mario Manningham, solid #2 with good hands.
10.Wes Welker, a slot guy with NO size.

    Free Agent LT

    Jared Gaither, red flags.
    Demetrius Bell, injuries.
    Anthony Collins, rarely played backup.

LT must be addressed. You let whoever that is battle it out vs a hopefully healthy Carimi and let the loser take RT.

As far as FA WRs go, only guys i would strongly consider are V-Jax and Bowe. I also talk to Miami about a trade for Marshall. Get one of those 3 and then draft another WR with one of the first 4 picks...But this is the Bears and Jerry Angelo. I dont have much faith in them addressing such a glaring need on the offensive side of the ball.

    Option 1

    Sign WR Marques Colston

    1. OT Barrett Jones [Alabama]
    2. WR Kendall Wright [Baylor]

    Option 2

    Sign OT Demetrius Bell

    1. WR Michael Floyd [Notre Dame]
    2. OG Kevin Zeitler [Wisconsin]

I think option 1 makes us better.

Regardless of the prospects option #2 leaves us with an inconsistent and injured starting OT position.

I agree that the WR position is the biggest need, but I think that it can be better addressed in free agency.

Lets say we take a WR in round 1, who starts at LT next year?

It would have to be Webb and I am not comfortable with that.

And do not get me wrong I like Webb, but if we want the most out of Cutler we need an OL that is better than average/inconsistent.
