I thought Cabrera was called up because Lowell broke his hand and because he was playing so good for the MLB that when Lowell came back they decided to keep him?

I think you're right Buckeye, but it still remains that his June 20th call up was directly correlated with their July 1st run to the wild card.

Oh, I'm not denying that he didn't spark their run, I'm just saying he wasn't called up to be the final piece

Yeah, he was more of a "pleasant surprise" ahead of his time, and he ended up being just what the team needed...

Any chance of a Castro reunion?
Truthfully, he would fit in with the team. He played some third last year so he has versatility to play 2nd and third with SS if absolutely need be.

He actually had a tremendous second half last year. Almost .900 OPS in the second half. He also struck out a little over 16% last year on a poor Marlins team. He isnt going to cost much so he def. should be looked at depending on some of our moves.
