Default Przybilla to choose between Chicago/Miami possibly this week

PHILADELPHIA --- On the Chicago Bulls' radar since training camp, veteran big man Joel Przybilla is nearing a decision on where to resume his playing career.

Przybilla's agent, Bill Duffy, confirmed that the center is weighing offers to sign with either the Bulls or Miami Heat, perhaps as early as this week. The Tribune reported the Bulls' interest in Przybilla in early December.

Przybilla, 32, has been spending time with his family in Wisconsin after playing 36 games with Portland and Charlotte last season. In 10 NBA seasons, Przybilla has averaged 4 points and 6.3 rebounds in 553 career games.

i wouldn't hate having him as a 3rd string C though. no matter who we sign as a 3rd string C, they're not gonna play much or at all anyway...

I actually like the idea of potentially signing The Vanilla Gorilla, I feel like he'll be a Bull. It's nothing to get excited about, but he's quality depth to have in case somebody catches the injury bug again.

the only thing that really sucks about having Joel as insurance just in case somebody gets hurt is that he himself gets hurt a lot hahaha

That's so true! Well, getting injured in practice is less likely then getting injured in a game, so Joel would at least have the odds on his side. Scal and Pryz will be the new bash brothers!

Maybe he'll join Miami and then we can swoop in and get Kenyon Martin. LOL

    Yeah right...

Miami gets all the FA because they're just stacked. Who do we get? Leftovers and scraps if we're lucky.

How do the Heat have any money? If I were to guess, he'd pick Miami. Would probably be Anthonys backup rather than be our 3rd C. Miami with have Joel and Joel at C.

I think teams can give out however many vet mins they want..Well not however many they want because of the roster spots.. which is probably what JP is gonna get.

Kenyon Martin has said he wants to play for a winning team that'll also provide him with some consistent minutes. he won't get any minutes with the Bulls.

He could probably get like 24 mins a game with MIA at C.

I think he ends up with the Clippers though

    He better join the Clippers...

The more defenders the Heat get the harder it will be for Rose to do anything against them in the playoffs.

Joel would really help Miami he brings toughness and rebounding that no one else on the Heat roster has.

Joel is gonna sign for the veteran min the same amount of $$ Chicago has to offer Miami has.

I believe it is around 2m for the years of service Joel has. He is a much better player than he gets credit for good defender and great rebounder

    Haslem maybe

Anthony no way imo. Joel is not a very good player imo

Joel Prizz is a 7fter who can defend the post better than Joel and Haslem and rebound and set screens better also.

That is if Prizz is still healthy and fit.

Yeah I mean I'd like K-Mart in the Kurt Thomas role, but you're exactly right Kenyon is going to want minutes, and we can't offer him that at this point. Clippers would be a really nice fit for him. I hate the thought of him joining the Heat, and I wouldn't rule that possibility out yet either. I can definitely see K-Mart wanting to play with those guys.
