I've asked this a dozen times. Why does everyone feel the need to turn this into the perfect team right now? The Hawks stocked up on prospects thanks to trades made during the cap purge after the Cup win. I'd have no problem waiting to see those guys make the jump into the NHL (which could happen as soon as next year). Even if that means they don't fill every hole before this year's playoffs.
If the right players are out there, then yeah, pull the trigger. But so far, I haven't really heard of one player that the Hawks desperately need who's actually available.

the point is ANYONE can be traded if the price is right.
lmao that you wouldnt move toews for both sedins.
and dmelt stating they would have to throw in kesler...fucking homers jesus. I know its the rival canucks, and that is why i brought up this scenario, it goes to show what kind of meatball fans some of you are.
toews for both sedins and kesler is a bad move for the nucks. you use the cap to hide behind your hawks homerism
Technically we can't move Toews without his consent because of his NMC.
Canadiens trade Gill to Predators for Geoffrion, Slaney
Prices are pretty high so far.
im just hoping we arent sitting around the deadline and our big move is a sami pahllson type move. i can see that happening where we just get another guy.
i beg stan for no burish....we fill the stands as it is so no need to get more "fire and passion" fans to try to come out. no more 4th liners either. 2nd line center and a dman....simple as that.
The Kesler thing was a joke.
And I'm not going to answer your question because there's no way that would ever happen. Really, you're just helping my point by suggesting such an outlandish trade. The Hawks cap situation would be completely fucked if they took that on. They couldn't do it.

I actually watched part of the Stars game last night and Burish looked great. I wouldn't mind acquiring him. Rather have Burish out there than Shaw/Hayes at the current time. Stars also have Burish working in front of the net on the PP and it paid off for them last night.
Nothing wrong with bringing Burish back.
Need more guys like him than someone like Bickell who plays like he doesn't give a shit.
I just don't see the argument your trying to do tho. Sure he could be moved, but what team is going to give up what he is worth? Who cares if he is tradable or not he's our captain and face of the franchise.
Unless your looking for responses so you can call people homers, morons, dopes, fucking idiots then I see why your bringing this up,
i'd be ok with acquiring Burish if we didn't have more pressing needs, which we do
we NEED a 2nd line center and a dman
a burish type pickup would be better suited for a polished team looking for that one missing link for a cup run...not a team like the hawks who have legit bigger needs
Anyone who wants burish is a fucking idiot dope moron homer
drama much?
if you have the ability to read, and im sure you do, go back and it all started with the kane talk. the point is.....NO one in sports is untradeable no matter what. whether he the player is highly skilled, is a captain, does charity work in the area, has fire and passion, won us a championship etc etc etc....thats the whole point. so when someone states that he is untouchable, it is far from the truth in all of sports with all premier athletes. if you dont believe that than you are naive. now go play.
sure, but he isnt what this team needs right now. adding Burish doesnt put you in that much better of a place to win the cup. the defense and the center is the major 2 holes. if they got him, great....but it doesnt do anything really for this team. just my opinion
if hawkwriter felt the opposite you would be agreeing with him.
I don't think anyone is saying to get Burish in place of a 2nd line center or a top 4 Dman...I think people are just recognizing that Burish would help this team and could possibly be had at a cost that wouldn't hurt the Blackhawks presently.
The Hawks 4th line was one of the best in the league when the Cup was won. Not a coincidence in my eyes. Burish is the type of player that has grown enough where he could probably even play some 3rd line if needed...much like Eager did during the Blackhawks run.
Sassone you could tell was pissed when someone asked him yesterday if the hawks would try and bring Eager back. lol
