That is a lot but I cant say I blame them gotta buck up and grow some balls at some point. RG3 is perfect for the Shanahan's bootleg system he actually reminds me a bit of Jay or if he really pans out Aaron Rodgers.

dumb as hell. You better KNOW a guy [probably Griffin] is gonna be great if you're willing to give up 3 first rounders and a 2nd. Griffin COULD become an amazing QB in the NFL and win a title for the Redskins... he could also suck dick.

I don't think it's worth it to give up that much honestly. How did it turn out for the saints when they traded all those picks for Ricky Williams? He wound up being a better player on another team.

idk.. too risky if you ask me.

or what keep throwing out the Rex Grossman's of the world??

The only other option was to tank and get Matt Barkley next year but the Redskins aren't very patient.

it is overpaying but I think RG3 is going to be great so it will be worth it. his brain and backround is better than his physical skills and that is why I think he will be great.

But this guy is almost perfect for what they run this is a perfect fit for the skins.

The Rams are already the winners of the draft and we're still almost 2 months out

also they are only giving up 3 picks

they are swamping #6 for #2 to get RG3 they off set LOL

    so it is basically 2 #1 and a #2

very similar to what we gave up for Cutler very smart trade IMO for the skins.

A lot of QB's that come out are hyped an most people are SURE they're going to be good. There's obviously some good QB's that got drafted.. but there's a lot of terrible ones as well. There's also a couple average QB's that weren't worth the high spot, but they were decent.

These are the Top 5 QB's drafted since 1995:

Warning, the following may be Not Safe For Work or a storyline spoiler.
    1995:
    Steve McNair
    Kerry Collins

    1998:
    Peyton Manning
    Ryan Leaf

    1999:
    Tim Couch
    Donovan McNabb
    Akiki Smith

    2001:
    Michael Vick

    2002:
    David Carr
    Joey Harrington

    2003:
    Carson Palmer

    2004:
    Eli Manning
    Philip Rivers

    2005:
    Alex Smith

    2006:
    Vince Young

    2007:
    Jamarcus Russell

    2008:
    Matt Ryan

    2009:
    Matt Stafford
    Mark Sanchez

    2010:
    Sam Bradford

    2011:
    Cam Newton

And what almost all of them have in common is people thinking they had potential to be great or the KNEW they were going to be great.. even the ones that wound up sucking.

I think RG3 could be a good QB in the NFL, and this could turn out to be the best thing the redskins could have done.. but there's also a good chance this could be a terrible decision. For that reason, I think it was a bad move.

I guess we'll all know if it was a good or bad move in about 2-3 years though.

According to Adam Schefter, even w/ this trade the Redskins will still pursue Peyton Manning.

Well the Redskins do like to be active in FA...

really? Interesting. Well... they can pursue him all they want. He won't be a redskin.

true but with their 40m in cap space they can do damage in free agency.

I guess the Redskins just hope to do their usual free agent spending to compensate for lack of draft picks over the next few years.

how will they lack draft picks?? They are going to have more picks next year than they do in most of their drafts.

I didnt see people say we gave up to much for Cutler and the Redskins are giving up a similar package.

for a team that hasnt had a QB in ages this is a great move IMO.

Now the Bears will have to out-bid Washington for Jackson. That's what sucks about FA, you always, always wind up overpaying no matter what.

Why? RG3 is going to a system that is perfect for him with two very bright offensive minds in Mike and Kyle Shanahan.

This is why I would rather see the Bears sign Robert Meachem and draft a couple receivers.

I would rather have Colston and Floyd. But you can't go wrong with Meachem, tho.

I think Griffen will fit in nicely ... the Redskins don't have a bad D and have cap room.

So, them signing Jackson will help nicely. Then more, like another WR and OL.

I want no part of Colston. He's had 5 knee surgeries, he's slow, and I really believe that he's a product of the Saints system. Plus he's likely gonna want a ton of money which he isn't worth IMHO

We saw what a proven QB could do without any weapons, it's going to be interesting to see if RGIII can make the talent around him better.

I like Coltson ... he will be a slot receiver, tho. So, yeah he will cost too much for that. If the Bulls were able to sign Jackosn and draft Floyd, that would be so bad ass, but not hopeful.

Maybe they can take over for Richard Hamilton.

For the money he's getting in FA he's going to be the #1 WR on the team he signs with. Also if the Bears sign V-Jax they won't draft Floyd, if Floyd is still there at #19
