The reason so many of us were excited about the Theo hiring was that we assumed he would put together a solid front office together. McLeod is proof of that assumption.

they will indeed have to win at some point. having theo and others is great for the cubs, but how long does he and his boys get?

4-5 years. That's part of the reason why he got a five year deal, because Ricketts realized that the team needed to be fixed and it would be a long-term project.

They will have to win at some point, but I think Theo at least gets the length of his contract to get to the postseason. And I think that is a very doable feat.
