They still think he needs more time. They said they rushed him last year and he struggled big time in the majors. Just want a little more ime and he'll be up - I say May.

LaHair seems to be a decent pickup if he can produce anything close to what he did in AAA. idk though... i understand what youre sayin. kinda odd for someone his age coming outta the minors.

To me, that's dumb as hell. Yeah it does save money for a year, but if they will help you more than the player you have now, they deserve to make the team.

The point is whether it matters if Rizzo helps the team get to 79 wins and miss the playoffs. You're trading a year of control for a chance to miss the playoffs by less. Rizzo is probably held back until June to ensure that seventh year of control unless they really don't want to wait. Brett Jackson will come up in May or June. That's the reason why Castro wasn't called up that one year until May.
