What a battle.

Another win against a top team in the league without Toews and Keith in the lineup.

That is huge.

sip sippin on some kool aid. be excited over their play in the regular season all ya want. when the playoff bell rings dont be disappointed when our glaring holes get exploited like most teams with glaring holes in the playoffs. this stretch of games is not a reason to become cocky about the hawks.

That game was both great and frustrating. Up until giving up the 4 unanswered goals, it was great. Glad the Hawks got the win, but it should've been easier than it was.

And what other teams are playing so well and are so perfectly-assembled that the Hawks couldn't compete with them?

They just lit up one of the alleged best defenses in the NHL for five goals in their barn.

What, did they have to go 18-0 without the captain?

Sure, the playoffs are a different animal; however, there is something to be said for the core when it comes to playoff time. Last year's team, with even more glaring holes, took the top seed to OT in 7.

I do believe with a healthy Toews and a pissed off returning Keith that they can beat any team in a 7 game series save for the one they beat tonight.

I'd put the Blues on that list, too. Against everyone else, I'd give them a fighting chance, at least.

Sorry, a team that can't keep the puck out of the net is going nowhere.

But even you'd admit that the return of their best defenseman and the only center that can actually win a faceoff is going to help with that.

He won't. He'd much rather be a dissenting voice just so he can say "I told ya so" when the Hawks fail this year.

Yep...he wants the hawks to lose

I'm glad we're in the show. Hope we can go far. Glad they won tonight, but I don't see many Stanley Cup contending teams blow a 4 goal lead.

They have two goalies with a save % barely touching 90.

Yup, I smell a Cup run.

You don't consider Pit a cup contender? Didn't they blow a 4 goal lead like last week? Ok, minus a year? :/. Det last year, too.

of all the playoff contenders in the West, they've given up the most goals.

That shit just isn't going to cut it in the playoffs.

Unless Craw/defense plays magically better, they'll be golfing after round 1.

I'll say it again:

Best defenseman coming back from suspension.
Captain, best forward, best faceoff man (something the Hawks desperately need help with) coming back from injury.
Add that to the team playing their best hockey of the season right now.

That will help.
