Vlad is a lock IMO.

Rolen won't get it.

LOL at Buerhle being on this list.

Until Larry Walker gets in Helton has no shot.

Take Buehrle out of there please! Great he has a no hitter, perfect game, ws save,ws win, and alot of slip and slide action during rain delays. he is still not a HOF candidate.

Take him out and insert Konerko who will probably have at the least 450 homeruns since he is at 396 if he retires early. if he continues to play and be a DH for a while he can hit 500.

Both are overwhelmingly deserving. Not sure where you're getting the no-shot idea from.

48th best career-batting average, 17th best OBP, 27th best slugging percentage, 15th in on-base+slugging, 86th most HRs, 98th in RBIs, 124th in hits.

2nd best range factor by all 1st basemen, .996 fld% (4th best, all time)

3x gold glove
4x silver slugger
1-time Hank Aaron Award (best hitter in league)

...and Walker is his equal in almost every category...

Just saw this.

I never said either were "undeserving" but Larry Walker was the far better player in almost every aspect and hasn't gotten in yet. If Helton somehow gets in before Walker it would be a complete sham.

Range factor is a such a shit stat it's insane.

BTW, he's not second all time. He's second among active 1B.

That's not really a great resume.

I have a really hard time putting a guy into the HOF who's best finish in the MVP voting was 5th, most season's he was a non-factor MVP voting wise.

he really only ever had one monster season, outside of that he never lead the league in any category.

Helton just comes off as this guy who had a really good 5 year stretch then went and fell off.

Never struck me as a HOF caliber player and for someone playing in Coors for half of your games you better have some pretty insane overall numbers(ala Larry Walker)..and Walker won an MVP.

Helton had a 5 year stretch of "really good/good". Walker had a 5 year stretch of "elite/really good".

There's a difference.
