There's a linesman right there who was looking at the Hossa hit. No balls. That motherfucker even winced when it happened!

@NHLShanahan 0 game suspension for Torres because he hit a Blackhawk? Amirite?

as clean a hit as you're going to get.
That's good stuff. Almost as good as the Ducks' crew saying Seabrook was selling it after Wiz knocked him out cold on his feet.
#Blackhawks Dr Terry on #Hossa " we are monitoring him closely at home. We anticipate a full recovery in a timetable yet to be determined.“
If I was a coach my game 4 starters are Bollig Mayers and Bickell
Better be at least 3. That was worse than anything Shaw did.
I think Torres get 5 at least just for being a repeat offender.
Stupid play, not just because I'm a Blackhawks fan, but as a sports fan. The NHL needs to do something about the fighting, the bad checks, and all the bullshit quick!!!
May the Force be with you.

A******e left his feet- right there that is charging (and better than that one that resulted in a serious actual injury) -- and in retaliating for the no call, the Hawks end up killing a powerplay, instead of on working on a major powerplay.
Yeh, - you know maybe robots ought to do the officiating -- because these zebras suck.

I wish they would get rid of the instigator penalty
A real solid case for an "eye in the sky" referee wired into the skating refs?

I don't know about that - as it doesn't seem enough... you'll get some ref (or crew) where it is all about them -and unless you can force the idiot on the ice to actually do something -and/or be consistent - it won't work imo.
I think Bettman and the NHL purposely turn a blind eye to this stuff. How can the refs miss the call, when one of them has a direct view of the play? And how come the NBA and NCAA use instant replay to review flagrant fouls, yet the NHL, who could really utilize replay not only for illegal hits but also for those mass melees, doesn't use replay?
When Hossa was being stretchered off, the jumbotron was showing replays of Torres' hit to the head, so it was pretty obvious to everyone what happened...including the refs. How can a ref see what happens, and still allow Torres to play? In the 3rd period, Torres almost had the game-winning assist on a 2-on-1 break...HUH? What is he doing on the ice?
My reaction to the Hossa hit wasn't really anger...it was almost sadness. The camera showing Torres sitting on the bench, waiting for Hossa to be stretchered off the ice so he can begin his next shift...the realization that the NHL is a POS league.
I thought fighting in hockey was supposed to prevent all this?

Just saw this on SportsCenter...glad he's alright
But as far as 2013, you can define it as a success or failure by whether we make the postseason, and ultimately whether we win the World Series.
