Hm. You know, I didn't even notice that, but you're right. Our last game against a western conference team is July 28th in San Jose, with games Jul 8 & 14 against LA/Vancouver....and before that even, Dallas on May 28 is the last west conference team we play.
So we need to just stay alive and win a few in the 1st half of the season, then beat the other Eastern teams like we normally do.

The Vikings new stadium is pretty much a done deal but there's a 99% chance it's gonna have a fixed roof. I know there was talk of getting an MLS team in the new stadium but do any MLS teams play in a stadium with a fixed roof?
But as far as 2013, you can define it as a success or failure by whether we make the postseason, and ultimately whether we win the World Series.

It wouldn't be an issue that it has a fixed roof. The problem would be that it is not a soccer-specific stadium, but it has happened before we allow an expansion team to play on a football field long-term if it can be artificially transformed into a soccer-type stadium (or look like one) at game time. This happens in Seattle, Vancouver, New England, D.C., etc. (though NE and DC don't do the best jobs IMO).
