I got them winning one. And maybe they'll make Sean Marshall blow a save and then lose in extras

I have them winning one, tonight's game. They could possibly win two if Maholm continues to pitch like his previous two starts. Only problem is, they will be facing a much more potent lineup than the Phillies, so they will have to score their share of runs in this series.

Really I am most confident in the game getting a win in the last start. Dempster could be shaky coming back from injury, but he has been pretty good so far. And Mike Leake not so much.

Lineup:

Cubs lineup @ Reds 5/1: DeJesus RF, Campana CF, Castro SS, LaHair 1B, Soriano LF, Stewart 3B, DeWitt 2B, Soto C, Samardzija P

Possibility of rain delay looms, but that's just me playing Tom Skilling :D

Is something up with Barney? That is back to back to starts for DeWitt isn't it?

Not sure. Possibly a matchup issue against Arroyo or a prelude to a DeWitt trade. I'm guessing the former, and possibly because Sveum realizes it's not the best idea in the world to have the only guy on the team besides Castro who can play SS serviceably on the field at the same time as the starting SS.

Short answer, who the fuck knows

Rain washed out batting practice for #Cubs in Cincy. Radar is very colorful, which isn't a good sign.

The storm front on my doppler radar thingy suggests it's going to blow through quick so I hope whatever drainage system the Reds have works great.

Rain delay theater. Tarp on the field. Hope to get the game going within the hour.

Randy Bush is on right now, and acknowledged that the Cubs would find a way to get LaHair's bat in the lineup if both he and Rizzo are hitting. Interesting that this is the first time I've heard anyone with the Cubs say that playing both in the field was a possibility.

Seems like they're hell bent on getting this in so they don't have to do a doubleheader tomorrow.
