Oh shit, Giroux out partying. Spotted for the second time this off season! GET HIM!

Claude Giroux, Shirtless, Playing Baggo and Wearing Two Casts - Crossing Broad

At least Kane's a bit more cut than Claude

track record and totally different type of party VS no track record and a very boring looking party. but nice comparison for the fail.

comparing Giroux's "partying" to Kane's, is a massive fail.

Kane is a natural center though if you think about it, he played there all through Juniors.

And I'd like a million dollars.

Do you still move Kane to center when Hossa reports to training camp, fails his physical, goes on LTIR, and is [obviously] unable to play?

    Not a chance.

If that Hossa scenario happens, Kane's value to the Blackhawks goes up considerably.

That's what I'm thinking, too. Well within the realm of possibility.

Claude Giroux was also on stage at a Nickelback concert. Even worse.

I'm with the opinions that I've seen in the last few pages here. I'm not entirely sold that Kane, with an off-season and a training camp to prepare, can't be a legit 2C.

But I'd rather see the Hawks get an already-proven 2C and leave Kane on the wing.

But if you're going to move Kane to the 2C spot, then you probably need to add another top 6 winger, imo. You've got at five right now, if you include Stalberg with Toews, Kane, Sharp and Hossa. I think Stals will start next year in the top 6.

If Kane's the 2C, you need a wing. If he stays on wing, still need a 2C. Either way, Hawks could use another top 6 forward.

So, let me get this straight. A team with a recent trip to the Cup Final trades away a pair of their best players because they party too much. That team has since exited in the 2nd round of the playoffs twice.

Those two players, meanwhile, were re-united in another city and are now back in the Cup Final.

So, just maybe, trading away players just because they "party too much" isn't such a feasible idea. Maybe.

We have had the debate before who on the free agents list give you better play than Kane at center? ( that we can sign).Plus we have very little cap space left, I had rather have a def player.

Olli Jokinen is the only one worth talking about. Personally, I don't like that option.

There could be a few guys had in trades, I'm sure. It's just going to take a LOT to make that happen.

One name that I've read of a player who could be is Jordan Staal. That'd be incredible, but I shudder at the thought of what it'd take to pull him from Pitt.

    wrong. as usual.

partying and drinking during the season is ok. its the partying and drinking right at the beginning of the off season that is truly worrisome.

That partying/not meshing with Laviolette was only part of it. The other, bigger, part was that they wanted to pay for an "elite" goaltender.

I was watching the winter classic from 09 and both commentators said Kane hockey IQ is at the level of the great one...I know this will spark some chatter.

That was Doc and Edzo, right?

Kane's got a real, real high hockey IQ. But to Gretzky's level? Not so sure on that.
