    right

funny how you mention chicago athletes, if it was ryan braun you would be saying he is guilty.

so because some cases have been that, that means kane is innocent? cmon now. its case by case.

Kane is a power drinker. do i think he would do these things sober? nope. But he obviously likes to drink and drink a lot and he may not be able to control himself. there is a trend with him and that cant be overlooked.

Ryan Braun's is different ... it was for an illegal substance.

Rose, Marshall and Castro were accused by a women, so was Kane. That's only Chicago athletes, it happens all the time with professional athletes.

just using an opposition players name ( not talking about substance abuse ) in general if this was a rival teams player you would say he is guilty imo.

I really doubt he choked a woman. On the other hand, frat guys are known for their honesty and trust worthiness. Thats why they say "always leave your drink unattended at a frat party."

Also yes, he's allowed to drink too much and act like a d bag. He's 23 and he's famous.

Will you consider his "shit season" was due to changing positions and [trying] to be more responsible defensively?

Just another story, until there is evidence I don't care too much. Even if a case lingers in a manner like Castro's, it won't necessarily effect on-ice play. Castro's case didn't slow him down much, but it is different from person to person.

sure changing could have somewhat dampered his play but not to the point where he was at.

responsible defensively? no. not at all. he did NOTHING to improve that aspect of his game.

I don't know if I agree with your nothing. Filling in for Toews at 1C for over 20 games at the end of the season where teams are playing their asses off helping lead the team to what 5 or so games over .500 might point otherwise. Certainly he's no Selke, but I think you're being too harsh.

Being too harsh? He's a lazy ass douche that has cherry picked in OT & paid for it.

Hmm, like that one game here, where Dats had all day to put it in?

he has no "two way" game.

He is actually pretty poor on the defensive side.

he is a one dimensional player.

Does he have the ability to be better? im sure.

At best he is below avg when it comes to that.

He has been better than before. His back and stick checking has improved. He will only stand out occasionally. He doesn't have the size to work the corners or behind his own net (which is obviously where a specific plan with the D is implemented specifically for that). With that said, the team survived when he replaced the best player/defensively responsible forward on the team. That was an easy context to give up, not put in the effort, to think the hell with it. He didn't and the team didn't suffer because of it, like we all predicted. Sure, I don't want him playing center. They won't find one in the UFA market. Jolli is not coming to Chicago. It's not happening.

Which Phoenix OT goal did he cherry pick on that resulted in a loss? Show me. I don't believe you.

In addition, any team who pays this defenseman more than minimum is getting taken for a ride based on this one play.

Nah, I'm not defensive. I think he's been more of a two way player than ever before...because he's had to be. I'm not declaring that his two way play is outstanding or going to be a platform for winning; it's not. I no not expect that, but I think there's something to be said for what he's done in Toews's absence. I simply don't think it's as bad as you've stated. The results are there.

The way Joe worded his post led me to believe that's a Phoenix OT goal is what he's talking about. If he's really going to bitch about cherry picking in regular season OT, then he's reaching an all new level of dumb posts before thinking his idea through.
